At these events you will be able to find out more about volunteering and the work that we do and you will be able to explore whether Samaritans is the right place for you.
Our next "Discover Samaritans" information events will be held in the branch on these dates:

After one of these sessions, if you wish to continue the process of becoming a volunteer, you will be invited to attend an interview to discuss more about Samaritans and yourself.
This will then be followed by individual interviews on agreed dates between Monday to Friday; Weekday interviews will be either from 6pm or 7.30pm at the branch. If required, we will have interviews at the weekend between these dates too. Weekend interviews will be from 10am or 11.30am at the branch.
If you decide you want to go further, you will be invited to attend Samaritans Core Training sessions over a number of evenings and a Saturday:

Alongside our regular volunteering roles, we are currently recruiting for night owls, volunteers who will only do night shifts (shifts between midnight and 7am). If you think you may be a night owl, please let us know when you express an interest.
