When life is difficult, Derby Samaritans is here – day or night, 365 days a year – to pick up a call and listen. Every life lost to suicide is a tragedy so your help is vital.
Even though everyone at Samaritans Derby is a volunteer, who gives their time for free, we have a building where volunteers take calls, help organise the charity and run training sessions for new volunteers.
Maintaining the building and everything that goes with it, costs around £40,000 a year. So, we need help.
From individuals who make donations to people and organisations who raise funds for us, the community in and around Derby helps us so we can help others.
There are lots of ways to donate or fundraise, and any amount will help us to keep the branch running and answer more calls for support.
Regular and one-off giving
Regular donations help us to better plan our budgets, but any one-off donation is also much appreciated.

- £10 will support us to maintain our phone systems
- £20 will support our training programme
- £110 will keep us open for a day

Every time you shop visit your favourite retailers through the easyfundraising website and then shop as normal. Once you’ve made your purchase, the retailer will then make a small donation to us to say “thank you”.
