Support Samaritans at the Running Show!

From April 17th – Saturday 20th Samaritans staff and volunteers will be greeting runners and members of the public at our stand at the Running Show. We expect to see over 500 runners across the 4 days. We’ll be reminding them of where our Cheerpoints are, handing out cheering materials to any friends and family who may be joining and encouraging them to write their messages of hope on our stand. We would love for you to join us at our stand and help give our runners a final burst of support and encouragement before marathon day.

A full briefing will be given prior to the event, and you will be supported by Samaritans’ friendly events team – no prior knowledge of Samaritans is required, just a friendly demeanour and willingness to help!

Available shifts:

• Wednesday 17 April AM shift 10am to 3pm, PM shift, 3pm to 8pm
• Thursday 18 April AM shift 10am to 3pm, PM shift, 3pm to 8pm
• Friday 19 April AM shift 10am to 3pm, PM shift, 3pm to 8pm
• Saturday 20 April AM shift 08:30 to 1pm, PM shift 1pm to 5.30pm

We are looking for 2 volunteers for each shift and 4 for each weekend shift – please indicate which times you are available for. If you are able to volunteer for more than one shift (amazing!) please indicate so in the comments section of the sign up form. Otherwise each volunteer will be allocated one shift and the rota will be shared on Monday 18th March.
