Maintenance Officer Volunteer at Birmingham Branch
If you have basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and appliance repair knowledge and are looking to volunteer on an ad-hoc basis and are local to Birmingham then we have just the role for you!
What's involved
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs proactively.
- Complete routine upkeep tasks such as light carpentry, plumbing, painting etc.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Diagnose issues and perform repairs quickly and effectively.
- Collaborate with branch leadership team on larger repair projects.
- Maintain inventory of tools & equipment.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and safety practices.
Qualities & experience:
- Experience with basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance repair
- Familiarity with building maintenance and repair techniques
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Time Commitment
This is an ongoing ad hoc volunteering position.
