Fundraising Development Lead Volunteer at Watford Branch

We are looking for someone with the skills and enthusiasm to promote and encourage donations to the branch – which is based in Watford. You do not need to have fundraising experience or expertise – but you should be organised, flexible, willing to learn, and have the ability to communicate effectively with potential donors or event participants.

Key responsibilities will include keeping track of regular or frequent donors and ensuring that they are thanked; promoting a small number of sponsored events (such as Samarathon) each year using our Enthuse and Just Giving platforms; organising collections such as our annual Christmas collection in St Albans; and working with our Publicity lead to promote donations from organisations and individuals in our local communities.

Most of the work can be done remotely, but you will need to be within a reasonable distance of the Branch for occasional meetings and participation in local events and collections.

It is anticipated that an average of four hours a week will be required to fulfil the role, but the actual time commitment might vary from week to week.
