Every three years, Samaritans branches enter a new chapter as leadership teams change, bringing renewed energy, fresh ideas and a shared commitment to supporting our volunteers and local community.
We are delighted to welcome Tracey (right in photo) to the role of Branch Director following her appointment in the summer of 2026.
Tracey has been a Listening Volunteer and a member of the Leadership Team in Taunton for many years, excelling in her role as Deputy Director for Outreach. In this position, she has forged strong links within the local community and helped embed the branch deeply within the Somerset community.
She is well known throughout the area through her many interests and activities and is a familiar face at Parkrun, as well as in supportive roles across a range of educational and charitable organisations.
Tracey's appointment was warmly welcomed by volunteers across the branch. She is a popular, energetic, and visionary leader who will undoubtedly lead the branch successfully as it continues to adapt to the many changes taking place within the national Samaritans charity.
