Stockport & District Samaritans are sponsoring the men’s & women’s first teams’ shirts, a pitch banner, as well as online and print placements.
There will be adverts, posters and Samaritans volunteers at Hollyhedge Park this season. Also, Samaritans will be working with the Club’s committee, coaching staff and players.
Branch Director Tracey Murray said “We are keen to work with the Ammies because of their enthusiasm and all the things they do for the Club and the local community.
Despite the pandemic, we have continued our free, 24/7 phone and email service. Our branch volunteers care and are there for those people struggling and needing someone to listen to their worries.”
Wythenshawe AFC Chairman Carl Barratt said “When the opportunity came to work with the Samaritans, we couldn’t say yes quick enough. The help they provide in the community mirrors our ethos of doing all we can to help those in need and we will be ensuring we inform our supporters of the great work the Samaritans do. Advertising on the kit and at the ground is just the beginning and we welcome the Samaritans in to the Ammies Family”
