No appointment necessary during Opening Hours.

Samaritans – helping people in Weston Super Mare and North Somerset

We’ve been helping people in the Weston Super Mare and North Somerset area for more than 40 years, part of the South West Region our branch covers a large area including Weston Super Mare, Clevedon, Portishead, Burnham on Sea, Blagdon and Wedmore.

In 2017 volunteers at our branch responded to 11,051 telephone calls, of which 8,786 were from distressed or suicidal callers, we also answered 1,242 emails.

We are proud to support and be part of our local communities.

We run a series of Open Information sessions so you can find out more about volunteering opportunities at Weston Super Mare & North Somerset Samaritans. Our information events are on the 2nd Saturday of each month at the Samaritans Centre, 137a High Street, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 1HN. See link above for more on this. Recent Events

2 of our Volunteers (Sandy & Richard) participated in the Samaritans National Walk and raised approximately £460, well done Sandy & Richard!

A weekend collection at Sanders Garden Centre raised approximately £270, well done to the volunteers who helped on the day and to those of you that gave to the collection!

We manned a stall at WsM Pride 2018 on Saturday 28th July, a great day for everyone that attended!
