Samaritans Fundraise and provide refreshments at the Blatherwycke Estate, as part of the 'National Gardens Scheme' day.
On Sunday July 19th the Blatherwycke Estate opened its doors for the 'National Garden Scheme' day. Due to the success of previous years Peterborough Samaritans were once again invited back to Blatherwycke to provide refreshments for over 600 visitors.
Our amazing volunteers provided a huge array of home baked cakes along with a range of drinks and served visitors until every last cake and drink was sold around 3.30pm.
The weather was beautiful, there was a lovely atmosphere and many visitors talked to us about Samaritans and were very complimentary about everything we were do, both at Blatherwycke and as Samaritans.
The garden staff were wonderful and our amazing team of volunteers made it a very successful day and raised over £2,100 to help our local Branch.
