Norwich Samaritans is delighted to launch its new strategy, setting out our priorities and ambitions for the next three years as we continue to provide emotional support to anyone who needs us.
The strategy has been developed following a comprehensive review involving volunteers, stakeholders, supporters and partners. Through surveys, discussions and consultation, we gathered valuable feedback on what Norwich Samaritans does well, where we can improve, and how we can best meet the needs of our community in the years ahead.
As a branch that has been serving Norfolk for more than 62 years, we are proud of our history and the thousands of people we have supported. At the same time, we recognise the importance of adapting to changing needs and ensuring that our services remain accessible, sustainable and impactful.
Our new strategy provides a clear framework for how we will:
- Continue to provide high-quality emotional support to people in distress
- Strengthen and support our volunteer community
- Raise awareness of Samaritans services across Norfolk
- Build and develop partnerships within our local communities
- Ensure our branch remains sustainable and resilient for the future
The strategy reflects the passion, experience and commitment of the volunteers who are at the heart of Norwich Samaritans, as well as the insights and encouragement of our stakeholders and supporters.
