Welcome to the Luton, South Bedfordshire and Harpenden Samaritans
Every life lost to suicide is a tragedy.
Samaritans’ vision is that fewer people die by suicide.
We believe that suicide is preventable.
Samaritans is here for anyone struggling to cope – day or night, 365 days a year. We take action to prevent people reaching crisis point, helping people find ways to cope and learn the skills to be there for others. We campaign to make suicide prevention a priority.
Samaritans is a charity working across the UK and Ireland and we need donations to help fund our life-saving work.
Luton, South Beds and Harpenden Samaritans 1170449 is a registered charity

Are you interested in volunteering with us?
We are always looking for volunteers to join our branch whether as a listening volunteer, or as a support volunteer.
Our volunteer training takes place in person and via Zoom. If you would like to find out more about how you could volunteer with us, then visit:
Volunteer for Samaritans | Support us | Samaritans and select Luton as the branch.
Unfortunately, we can’t see face to face callers at our Branch right now, but our volunteers are still going in every day to answer the telephone.
We know that current times can be challenging, and for many people, anxiety is heightened. Right now, many of our callers are talking to us about a huge range of feelings: isolation, boredom, grief, anxiety, stress, and money worries, to name but a few. Whatever your situation, if things aren’t okay for you, then you are welcome to phone us on 116 123.
