Brew Monday 2022, Waterloo Station

Lewisham, Greenwich and Southwark Samaritans have been supporting our local community since 1969 - working towards a world where fewer people die by suicide.

  • Posted 18th January 2022

The third Monday in January is sometimes referred to as ‘the most difficult day of the year’ but this is a myth. At Samaritans we know there’s no such thing as ‘Blue Monday’ – we all have our good days and our bad days, and those aren’t for the calendar to decide. Some people also get their credit card bills from the Christmas period around this time.

So we say it's time to stop this myth about Monday being 'blue' and instead start a conversation over a brew! Here are some of our wonderful volunteers at Waterloo station, reaching out to those travelling through the station.

You can still donate to our branch of Samaritans via Text LEWISHAM to 70085 to donate £5, plus one standard message from your network provider.
