The Chairman's Fund.
Each year the Chair of Staffordshire Moorlands District Council selects a couple of charities to be the beneficiaries of his Chairman's Charity Fund. For 2025-2026 we were grateful to be selected by Adam Parkes, retiring Chairman of the council, to be one of his favoured groups. Adam is very concerned about the number of people choosing to end their lives by suicide and about those with mental health issues in general.
We are most grateful to Adam for his generous donation and would like to thank him, his team and all those who donated. We would also like to thank the entire membership of SMDC for their unstinting support for us through the past year.
Adam has now passed on the gavel to his successor (it's a one year term, I believe) but remains an active councillor.
