Our branch is very close to the Ukrainian social club, when the situation escalated in the Ukraine we made contact with them. We have since had regular contact with the Ukrainian Church.
Visit to the Ukrainian Church
As part of our outreach work in the local community we visited our friends at the Ukrainian Church and delivered the provisions that the branch has continued to collect.
They thanked us for continuing to support the Ukraine. We were shown some photographs of the Gloucester produce arriving recently. One photograph was of a group of troops opening some boxes that included biscuits, medicines and warm socks. Further photographs were of children at an orphanage which is being supported with books and toys, kindly donated. It is so good to know these much needed supplies are getting through.
It has been such a privilege to have this connection with them, giving us the opportunity to talk with them about the continuing needs of the people in Ukraine.
