If you would like to find out more about our Branch we suggest you come along to one of our Information Evenings. You will meet some of our volunteers who are responsible for specific roles within the Branch. We will also explain more about what it’s like to be a listener and the journey required to get there.
Don’t worry if you’ve never done anything like this before. We will support you all the way, including training and mentoring until you feel confident and ready to take on the role.
Being a Samaritan is no small thing and it does require commitment, which generally means four hours a week in shifts lasting 4 hours or a minimum of 16 a month. Because the well-being of our volunteers is all important we are flexible and can accommodate occasions when your private life gets in the way and you need time out.
If you decide that being a listener is not for you, there are opportunities to help in the Branch as a Support Volunteer which includes our fundraising events and administration.
Disabled access available within this building.
