Did you come and see our tree 1st December 2018 – 6th January 2019?
Chester Cathedral cloisters were filled with more than 40 majestic Christmas trees, one of which was generously sponsored to represent Samaritans in Chester by Brian, Chester Sams volunteer Nicci’s husband.
We hope you were able to come and see our uniquely decorated tree and lost yourself in the astonishing tree-lined cathedral winter walkways. A wonderful moment or two of calm, away from the festive hustle and bustle of our beautifully decorated city of Chester.
We hope you were able to vote for our tree as your favourite! Our main aim however was to publicise that Samaritans are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for people to talk to us any time they like, in their own way – about whatever’s getting to them. They don’t have to be suicidal.
As Chester Cathedral welcomes more than 50,000 visitors throughout the month of December we hope we reached people who may need us, on our freecall number 116123 or [email protected].
