In 2018 Samaritan volunteers of Chelmsford and Mid Essex branch had in excess of 25,000 contacts with people in distress or in the need to talk to someone.
Last year our volunteers at Chelmsford and Mid Essex fielded over 20,000 calls, replied to nearly 2,000 and 2,500 text messages
This is in addition to greeting visitors at our Chelmsford office and our outreach activities at schools, railways and prisons
