Closure for volunteer safety
At Chelmsford branch we operate from a 19th century terraced cottage which we had hoped to renovate and extend this year to be in a position to offer a 21st century service. However this work has now been put on hold due to the Coronavirus.
The layout of the existing premises do not allow our volunteers to work safely as we are unable to provide the social distancing required in such an old narrow building. We have therefore reluctantly come to the decision to suspend operations temporarily from Chelmsford Branch for the welfare of our volunteers.
The majority of other branches are managing to stay open and offering telephone and email support
