Every year, on 10th September, organisations across the world get together to raise awareness about suicide prevention.
This year, Samaritans focused on the theme of 'caring interruption' by connecting with people in small ways such as checking in. The campaign also encourages people to 'ditch the stigma' around suicide by exploring suicidal thoughts openly without judgment and letting people know there is support available.
If you or someone you know is struggling with suicidal thoughts, Samaritans are here to listen 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on freephone: 116 123.
