Maggie Ricketts, a dedicated listening volunteer of over 16 years at Bury Samaritans, sadly passed away last month and her family have initiated a fundraiser in her memory.
A Dedicated Volunteer
Maggie passed away in May 2026 and her family would like to raise money in her memory to support the branch.
Maggie started volunteering with Bury Samaritans in 2010 and quickly progressed to the leadership team. Maggie continued to support many aspects of the branch including fundraising, outreach, educational visits, interviewing, training and mentoring as well as being a regular listening volunteer.
Maggie's contributions to Bury Samaritans show her passion, commitment and dedication to supporting others in their time of need and she will be greatly missed.
