"I've not walked in the parade before. People lock eyes with you in the crowd and make a heart sign with their hands. So extraordinary in the party party atmosphere. I didn't mean to join the procession. I was just watching and someone grabbed me and handed me a tabard. At one point a woman came out of the crowd and quietly said thank you, you saved our lives and then went back into the crowd. I felt like crying to be honest."
