Volunteers raise £7300 in the Brighton 10K
On Sunday 12th April 2026 we had 20 runners participating in the Brighton Marathon 10K event. Most were wearing t-shirts or running vests emblazoned with 'Samaritans' and all made their way around the course cheered on by the crowd of thousands thronging the route which was wonderful.
Thank you to all of you who took part and for those of you who encouraged/cajoled your friends and family to participate and raise funds for our branch. To date the amount we have collectively raised is £7,300 which is remarkable! This includes £500 received from Lloyds Bank Plc as a matched funding donation.
The amount raised equates to 44 days of our operational costs!
