On Thursday, 10 September, our volunteers, friends, and family all gathered for our third annual Fish ‘n’ Chips Quiz Night.
We held the event at Seasons, the venue at Bognor Regis Town Football Club, which was the perfect place to hold the event. We were pleased to see the venue so packed. In addition to welcoming volunteers, friends, and family, it was also lovely to be joined by members of the public who came along because they wanted to support the branch.
After a quick chat and catch-up with fellow volunteers, the teams took their seats to put their knowledge to the test. Branch Director Paul Brady was our quizmaster for the evening (with help from scorekeepers Colin and Carolyn). The teams answered tricky questions on famous film quotes, languages, popular dishes from around the world, famous animals, and many more categories. It was a fantastic night, and everyone had a great time.

We of course had a break to enjoy some delicious fish and chips, and the night ended with a raffle (which raised a total of £732), with plenty of prizes given out. Thank you to everyone who donated a raffle prize.
And congratulations to the team that came first in the quiz: ‘One of Our Tarts is Missing’.
All the money raised will go towards our branch, helping us continue to keep our service running and be there for those who need us.
Special thanks also go to Sharon 108, who led the organisation of the quiz, and Michelle 121, who organised the raffle.
Look out for more of our fundraising events in the future, including next year’s quiz!
