On Saturday 29 August, we hosted our 2026 Annual Branch Picnic at the Royal Norfolk Hotel, which overlooks the Bognor Regis seafront. It was wonderful to greet our fantastic volunteers and celebrate their hard work and dedication to our branch over the past year.
The weather may not have been agreeable, but we didn’t let it dampen our spirits. Although we had originally planned to enjoy the picnic outside on the hotel’s lawn, the rain meant we had to move inside to the hotel’s lounge. We are very grateful to the Royal Norfolk Hotel for accommodating us, and it meant we had a great afternoon in spite of the weather.
It was lovely to catch up with each other over sandwiches and cake, and we were delighted to also be joined by three of the Bath Half Marathon runners, Maisie, Ben, and William. Back in March, the three of them, along with their friend Jacob, raised over £6,500 for us by running the Bath Half Marathon. Branch Director Paul presented them with special recognition awards in honour of their incredible fundraising achievement.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers for everything they do. Their time, commitment and dedication make such a difference, and it’s thanks to them that we can continue to provide our fantastic service to those who need it most.
