Find out more about becoming a Friend, leaving a gift to North Devon and North Cornwall Samaritans in your Will, or how to donate directly to our branch.
We need more “Friends” to support our branch
It costs £24000 a year to run or branch or £60 a day to keep our branch running, can you help?
We rely entirely on donations from the generous public, businesses and other organisations to sustain the running of our branch. In 2020 it will cost over £60 a day (£24000 a year) to keep us up and running or to look at it another way just over £1 per contact that we deal with.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic our usual fundraising events have practically ground to a halt so we are really keen to increase our dedicated group of supporters; ‘Friends of Barnstaple Samaritans’. As one of our “Friends,” you become a vital part of our team and your relatively small monthly donation will free our volunteers to spend more of their precious time supporting our callers.
For as little as £5 a month, we would be able to cover the cost of running our branch for a day each year so we would be delighted if you would join us as a friend by setting up a monthly donation of your choice, every penny of which will go straight to the running of our branch. Please click the donate link here to set up a regularly monthly contribution.
As a Friend and with your consent, we would keep you updated annually with news of what has been happening in our branch and also invite you to our Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Give someone a lifeline after your lifetime
Leaving a gift to North Devon and North Cornwall Samaritans in your Will could save a person’s life.
When all hope seems lost, a call to Samaritans can help someone find a way through their darkest days. The simple act of listening can help a person feel they are not alone.
That’s why, every year, people whose lives have been touched by Samaritans choose to include a gift in their Will. Samaritans volunteer Bob and his wife have done just that.
