Our major annual fundraiser took place on Sat 27 Jun.
A busy day started at 06:00 under beautiful blue skies in West Wycombe.
Our 8th Chiltern Samaritans Cycling Sportive got underway with lots of riders wanting to beat the heat with an early start. The day went perfectly - cyclists coming, going, eating, drinking, chilling to music - all of them proud to have completed their ride.
And what’s in it for our branch?
Well to start with the satisfaction of giving real pleasure and great value for money to 400+ cyclists.
Secondly the opportunity to let the local cycling community know who we are and what we do.
Finally to help fund our branch for another year. We raised just over £22,000 this year from entry fees and our generous donors and sponsors. That’s about £140,000 over the past 8 events, a truly incredible result.
A huge thank you to all the Chiltern Samaritans volunteers, their friends and family and our sponsors for making it such an overwhelming success. NOTHING happens without that help.
