The Chiltern Samaritans branch has been providing emotional support to the community since 1968
With over 100 trained listening volunteers at Chiltern Samaritans, we help to keep the national helplines running twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, giving people time to express their feelings in a confidential, non-judgemental and safe environment. Our aim is to reach out to everyone who is going through a personal crisis and doesn't know where to turn.
In addition, our branch plays an active role in the local community – in schools and within community groups, at railway stations, training and supporting a team of listening volunteers in prison. We reach out to those who need us so that people know who we are, what we do and how to contact us.
