Trek to Angkor Wat
Lying in the heart of old Indochina, Cambodia is home to dazzling green rice-paddies and jungle dotted with temples and ruins, villages of thatched, stilted houses, and small towns where Buddhist temples nestle amongst graceful French-colonial buildings. Our exciting fundraising trek takes us off the beaten track to sacred Phnom Kulen – a lone hill, and the highest point for miles. The main challenges you will face while raising funds for your chosen cause are the long days trekking on remote, dusty trails in heat and humidity – but it’s knowing you are helping that others that will keep you motivated. We overnight in village homestays and monasteries en-route and, while fairly basic, they allow a privileged insight into the local way of life. Our finish point at Angkor Wat, one of the most renowned and impressive sights in South-East Asia, is a fitting reward your efforts and huge achievement.

Sign-up options
There are two different ways to fund your place on this trip. For both options there is a non-refundable registration fee of £399:
Sponsorship Option 1 - You commit to raising a minimum fundraising amount of £4300 per person. £3440 of this amount (80%) must be sent to us ten weeks prior to the trip and out of this, we'll cover the cost of your trip.
Self-funding Option 2 - Pay the full cost of your trip (£2100), 8 weeks before departure and raise what you can! There is no minimum fundraising target.
If you choose an option that has a minimum fundraising amount, 80% of the fundraising is required 10 weeks before the trip. The remaining 20% is required within two weeks of your return. Our Events team is on hand for any fundraising support and advice you need.

The company of the group I was with, the culture, the food and the history were all amazing. My most memorable experience was from the first day, showering in a monsoon shower, sleeping in a Buddhist temple and being woken by the monks chanting. I also enjoyed swimming in the waterfall on Phnom Kulen.
