Why Samaritans need your support
We know that life can sometimes be incredibly tough. Thanks to the dedication of more than 20,000 volunteers, Samaritans can be there for anyone, whatever they are going through and whenever they are struggling to cope. We’re also at the heart of local communities, working with schools, workplaces, railways, prisons and hospitals to offer training and support, preventing suicide and helping people turn their lives around.
Our life-saving work wouldn’t be possible without the extraordinary generosity of our event participants.

About the London to Brighton bike ride
Running from 1977 until today, for 46 years, hundreds of riders of all ages and experience levels have been taking part in the iconic BHF London to Brighton to raise money for charity. Continue this cycling legacy by taking part in Europe’s longest running charity bike ride in 2024, from Clapham Common, through London until you transition into the countryside of the South Downs, crossing the finish line on Brighton beach - experience an unforgettable day all whilst raising money for amazing causes.
