Cheer for Samaritans at the Great North Run
Samaritans will have a team of over 100 charity runners taking part in the Great North Run this year and you can go along to support them on the day!
The Samaritans Events Team are looking for ‘volun-cheerers’ to cheer on runners as they take on the half marathon. Get involved as a volunteer for a guaranteed great atmosphere and fun day out!
What will I be doing? You’ll be cheering on runners from a cheer point as they go by – so be prepared to bring your best waves, high-fives and words of encouragement! You’ll receive a Samaritans t-shirt to wear and some noise-makers. A cheer point is a charity branded spot on the race course set up for you to attend, where you’ll also meet other Samaritans cheerers.
