Samaritans' comment on Time to Talk day
Commenting on Time to Talk Day, Fiona Malcolm, Executive Director of Operations at Samaritans said: “Everyone has moments in their life when they struggle to cope and for some this can lead to feeling hopeless and unable to work through their problems. We know that talking can really help a person to see a way through this and we encourage anyone who is feeling low to reach out for help.
“Today is such an important day for bringing these issues to the fore and letting people know that there is always someone that they can talk to about how they are feeling.
“We encourage anyone who is struggling to call Samaritans, we are here round the clock, every single day of the year, to listen and offer confidential support when things are getting to you. People can get in touch by phone on 116 123, email firstname.lastname@example.org or find the details for your local branch at www.samaritans.org. “
