Samaritans Partnerships

Our partners

Every day, around 16 people decide to end their own life in the UK and every six seconds somebody contacts Samaritans for help.

Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our corporate partners, Samaritans can continue to recruit, train and support volunteers and keep our free, life-saving service going 24 hours a day.

Leeds Building Society

Leeds Building Society chose Samaritans as its first national charity partner to motivate staff and make a difference to the millions of people struggling to cope.

Over the next two years, PwC UK staff will raise money for Samaritans through creative fundraising events, employee volunteering and donating money via payroll.

John Lewis

For ten weeks, volunteers from John Lewis worked alongside Samaritans volunteers, advising on retail strategy such as visual merchandising, footfall and shop planning.

We are delighted to have been chosen as the Charity of the Year by the Scotmid Co-operative family which aims to raise £300,000 to help us ensure we can reach more people in crisis.

Our partnership with rail company Abellio launched in December, with the aim of raising vital funds to ensure Samaritans can continue to recruit, train and support our 20,000 volunteers.

Network Rail

Since 2010, Samaritans has been working with Network Rail and the wider rail industry to prevent rail suicides and support those affected by them.
