Our HOME, Morley House

Samaritans of Yeovil Sherborne and District moved into our new home, Morley House, in Yeovil Town Centre in January 2020 and we are now up and running. Our volunteers are taking phone calls and emails locally and across the UK

Please note that due Coronavirus restrictions, we are unable to accept face to face callers for the time being. However, please be assured that our telephone service continues to operate 24/7. If you’re feeling isolated and in need of support, please call us from any phone on 116 123.

VOLUNTEERS

Listening volunteers spend three hours a week in our centre supporting all kinds of people who need a confidential, non-judgmental ear to listen at a tough time in their life. We talk to people on the phone, face-to-face at our premises, by email and by text.

We also have a vital team of Support volunteers who give their time to help with fundraising, publicity, IT, and committee work.

To find out more about volunteering at Yeovil Samaritans email: [email protected] and have a look at the main website samaritans.org/volunteer,

COMMUNITY and PARTNERSHIP

We work in partnership with other local organisations. We have an active schools programme, and we attend lots of local events in support of positive mental health
