Who are we?

South West Hertfordshire Samaritans are a group of passionate volunteers working together to make sure fewer people die by suicide.

We welcome visitors to our branch when they need someone. We help keep the national helplines running, including phone, email and SMS. We reach out to the local community including schools, rail stations and hospitals to improve people's emotional health. We support the team at HMP The Mount to reduce suicide rates.

We're here for anyone - no matter who you are, no matter what life has thrown at you.

Join the team

We're looking for local people who care about others, to join our training programme and become Samaritans volunteers. Visit our branch to speak to volunteers about what it truly means to be a Samaritan. Our upcoming info evenings are:

Wednesday 3rd April, 7:30pm

Thursday 2nd May, 7:30pm

Monday 3rd June, 7:30pm

To book your place on the next info evening, or ask any questions, email Yvonne on [email protected]

All information evenings are held in our branch: 45 St John's Road, Watford, WD17 1QL
