50th Anniversary Open Day

Loughton Mayor Philip Abraham meets members of the branch
Friday 3rd November 2017
Saturday 28th October 2017 marked 50 years of Redbridge Samaritans

Redbridge Samaritans opened its doors to members of the public previous volunteeers and visiting dignitaries. We were joined by the Deputy Mayor of Redbridge Ashley Kissin and his wife Hilary, and also Loughton Town Mayor Philip Abraham who enjoyed meeting our volunteers, and learning more about the work we do.

We were delighted to be joined by several volunteers who were with the branch approximately 25 years ago, and they seemed to enjoy meeting up with each other and our present volunteers. Refreshments, including home made cakes, were enjoyed throughout the day.

Earlier in the week one of our volunteers Tim, was interviewed by Time107.5 radio in Romford. You can listen to it here  /  sites/default/files/kcfinder/branches/branch-227/files/RB-SAMARITANS.mp3
