On 12th August 8 of our volunteers took part in the Great Wilderness Challenge to raise funds for the Inverness branch. This was a demanding walk of 7,13 and 25 miles over fairly challenging terrain , one Samaritan is doing the longer 25 miles, five the 13 miles and the others 7 miles. If you wish to sponsor us please click on the button to donate.
We hold informal information sessions twice a year, our next informal session will be on Tuesday 3rd October at 7pm in the branch. If interested in becoming a Samaritan then come along to find out what is involved. At these short events we will show a short film about our work. You will also hear more about training, shifts and much more. If interested please contact us via the link on the right of this article. Or email us at email@example.com
As a charity we receive no government funding and rely on the generosity of local people, businesses and some grants from statuary bodies like the Council and the Highland Health Board. We continue to strive to raise funds with a variety of activities and local fund-raising events.
Our branch has a team of Samaritans who are willing to travel to any school, college or organisation in the Highland, Ross-shire ,Lochaber, Sutherland , Skye and Lochalsh area to groups who want to hear more about our service.
