Things we've been up to in 2017

We try to raise awareness of our services to the local communities of Croydon and Sutton, below is a list of our upcoming Outreach events, and past events in 2017. If you are aware of any groups that may be interested in hearing about our service, please leave a message on 020 8681 6667.

November 8th – Presentation at Sutton High to year 11s.

November 14th – Well being event. Help needed for our stall.

December14th – Music and collection at East Croydon – lots of SAMs needed 16.30 to 19.30

Tbc January 2018  - Talk to pupils, staff, parents Forester Primary School, Wallington.

Outreach to date 2017

January 16th – Black Monday – we gave out Samaritans Tea bags at train stations and in Addiscombe High Street. The 16th January is around 3 weeks after Christmas and the time many people show signs of depression or are suicidal.

February 22nd – Presentation to Croydon Probation, Youth Team.

February 28th – Presentation to Croydon Probation, Court Team.

April 7th – Presentation to the Britt School, year 11.

April 14th – Presentation to the Britt School, year 10.

April 24th – Meeting and discussion with NCS volunteers – our plans for working with these youngsters did not materialise.

May 1st – Held a stall at Beddington Spring Fayre.

June– We attended London Bridge station to support after London Bridge/Borough Market attack of 6th June.

July 1st – We ran the Samaritans Road Show in central Croydon.

August 8th – Meeting at Lunar House, Home Office, to discuss workshops with departments.

September 26th – Rockmount Junior school, presentation to years 5 and 6.

October 2nd – Attended London Bridge Station at the request of LondonTransport Police.
