Cheer on Mandy on her 54 mile cycle ride!
My Story
I thought it would be a good idea to do a bike ride and now 2 weeks' to go and reality has set in...........who said 'older is wiser'!
Together with 3 other guys from my work we decided to take up this challenge of 54 miles and fund raise for our local Salisbury Samaritans.
The Samaritan vision is that fewer people die by suicide. The national Samaritans organisation answers more than 3 million calls a year from poeple in emotional stress who need someone to talk with. From that total, our 140 volunteers in Salisbury receive 20,000 call.
Each branch is responsible for covering our local costs and here in Salisbury, as with other branches, the same volunteers who receive the calls are responsible for raising this money. It costs Salisbury Samaritans more than £50,000 a year to remain open and this we do thanks to the generosity of our local community.
Any donation, large or small, will help make a difference to the people that reach out to us.
Many thanks for your kind donation, Mandy x
