About London City Hub
Please note, building access is for volunteers only. If you need to talk to someone in person, you can visit the Central London Samaritans branch.
Our team of volunteers at London City Hub provide emotional support in the evening through our online chat service.
The Hub was set up in 2020, to offer a more flexible opportunity for City workers to volunteer with Samaritans. We now have a team of over 100 regular volunteers.
We are always looking for people who are:
- Interested in supporting people going through a tough time
- Open-minded and non-judgemental
- Able to listen without telling people what to do
- Able to commit to doing at least one weekly or fortnightly evening shift for a minimum period of 18 months
We provide full training (via Zoom) and ongoing support.
