How we can help

Listening service

Our volunteers provide emotional support via telephone and email.

Our Prison team provide training to prisoners at HMP Lincoln to become prison listeners.

Face to face

We provide 'in-person' emotional support to the local community during opening hours.

Welcome to Lincoln Samaritans

COVID-19 UPDATE - Unfortunately, our volunteers are unable to offer a face-to-face service at this time.

Welcome to Lincoln Samaritans. We have about 50 volunteers. They listen to our callers, mostly on the phone but also by answering e-mails. We also welcome people to come to the branch and talk to us face to face, when we are open. Lincoln Samaritans also supports a listening service at Her Majesty's Prison Lincoln and provides an outreach service in the local community, to raise awareness of emotional wellbeing and good mental health.

We have to raise all of our operating costs and do a lot of fundraising. We are keen to encourage people from our local community to get involved with raising funds for our branch.

You are welcome to find out more about Lincoln Samaritans and our roles by clicking on the following links: our latest news, fundraising, outreach and the prison listening service.

If you have a little time to spare, why not apply to be a volunteer. There are lots of different roles from administration to listening to callers and we would love to welcome you to our team. Just click on the link below.
