Leek Samaritans light up the longest night of the year

Leeks Samaritans turn the Nicholson Memorial green

Leek Samaritans lit up Leek's magnificent war memorial on the longest night on 21st/22nd December. The result was really satisfying and was part of Samaritans national Suicide Awareness campaign. Thanks to Michelle Willis, Natalie Hodgson, Vic Goodwin, Jayne Gledhill and Tim Armstrong who gave up their time to help this happen. Special thanks to the Mayor of Leek, Derek Hilyer, who made the memorial available to Samaritans and sorted out the lighting.
