Rachel Goldsmith - Director of King's Lynn branch
I've been a Samaritan volunteer for over 10 years and Director since June 2019. I am immensely proud of the work we do at our branch, most importantly, being there for our callers and providing emotional support. We are a friendly team here at King's Lynn and our branch has been open for over 50 years - as a local person I feel privileged to serve both our local community and national callers. The skills you learn as a Samaritan volunteer equip you not only for our duty room, but for life and being a Samaritan continues to be one of the most challenging and rewarding things I do. The recent months have proved how important human contact is - it is people that make a difference to people and Samaritans are very special people.
