Hull Samaritans don their running gear to raise money

Wednesday 20th June 2018
Intrepid Hull Samaritans volunteers and friends of the branch took part in the Hull 10k to raise much-needed funds for the branch.

A big thank you to the squad of runners who took part in the Hull 10k on June 10 - raising over £3000 for the branch in the process.

Showing just how multi-talented they are, a number of listening volunteers and some treasured friends of Hull Samaritans donned their running shoes and ran the gruelling 10 kilometre run, raising a fantastic sum of money for the Hull branch in the process.

Despite a few tired legs the following day, it was a great experience for all the runners and may have even generated some interest in others wishing to become a volunteer with us!

Thanks to all the runners who took part, it was a really great effort from each and every one of you.

If anyone would like to consider volunteering with Hull Samaritans, we have information evenings coming up in the next couple of months. Just click on the 'Volunteer in Hull' section of the site and all the details are there.
