We’re delighted to share that Art for Wellbeing, hosted by Horsham Artists, is back. A weekend of creativity, connection and compassion; with a fundraising element for Horsham & Crawley Samaritans.
There’s something quietly powerful about a room full of people creating.
Not performing, not competing... just creating.
So... we have a date for you to add to your calendar.
📅 Saturday 28th February & Sunday 1st March 2026
🕘 9:45am – 4:00pm
A Different Kind of Art Event
While many art events focus on selling work, this one is about giving back, as Jeanette Mercer, Chair of Horsham Artists, explains below.
With many art events understandably based around selling art, I was looking for something different — a way to give back to the community. Art for Wellbeing is about spreading the enjoyment we find in doing art — to busy people needing relaxation, beginners needing encouragement, and people keen to try new techniques. The idea is simple: artists donate their time, the public buy tickets and we get to donate to our favourite charity, Horsham and Crawley Samaritans.

Artists generously donate their time. Participants enjoy guided creative sessions. Proceeds directly support our work in the local community.
What to Expect
Whether you’re experienced or picking up a brush for the first time in years, the sessions are welcoming, relaxed and encouraging — with supportive guidance and a calm, creative environment.
No pressure. No judgement. Just space to create.
