An auction of Samaritans-inspired artwork has raised more than £37,000 for our branch.
Local artist Sarah Graham encouraged a host of famous names, as well as people from the North Hertforshire community and beyond, to design their own ‘Samarivans’ using camper van stencils she had designed.
Contributors included artists Tom Hovey (Great British Bake Off), Hayden Kays and Pete McKee, as well as celebrities Joe Lycett, Keith Lemon, Jodie Whittaker, Ricky Wilson, Timmy Mallett, Su Pollard, Eddie the Eagle and West End and Broadway star Kerry Ellis.
The finished products were displayed at Arkley Fine Art in Hitchin and an Ebay auction raised more than £37,000.
