World Mental Health Day: Take Time to Check In
This World Mental Health Day, we’re encouraging everyone to take a moment to check in with someone who might need it.
Right now, many people are finding things tough - worries about mental health, the news, relationships, family, money or work can all leave us feeling alone or overwhelmed. While we can’t control everything that’s happening around us, we can reach out and look out for one another.
A simple conversation with a friend, neighbour, colleague or loved one can make a real difference. Talking and listening helps us process emotions, share burdens and strengthen our connections. By giving others our time, attention and understanding, we can help ease feelings of distress and isolation.
This World Mental Health Day, take a moment to check in and catch up with someone you care about.
If you’re finding things difficult and would like someone to talk to, our volunteers are here to listen - day or night, free of charge, on 116 123.
