You don’t need any special qualifications or experience - we’ll make sure you get all the training and support you need. What’s most important is that you’re someone who can listen with kindness.

Our volunteers chat with around 20,000 people every year — by phone, email and webchat — offering a safe space when things feel tough.

Sadly, every 90 minutes someone in the UK or Ireland takes their own life. By volunteering, you can help make sure there’s always someone ready to listen.
