Great Yarmouth Samaritans recently welcomed a visit from local councillors and the Deputy Mayor to our new branch.
During the visit, we showed them around our new premises, which we moved into in June 2025, and talked about the work our volunteers do both within the branch and through our outreach services. We also shared some of our recent activities, including raising awareness on Brew Monday, holding collections at local supermarkets, and giving talks with local businesses to promote the importance of listening and mental health support.
The visit included a Q&A session, giving us the chance to answer questions and talk more about how Samaritans supports people in Great Yarmouth and the surrounding area. We were pleased to have the opportunity to highlight our work and the value of local community engagement.
It was lovely to show off our new premises which creates a fantastic environment to enable our volunteers to support our callers.
