Samaritans of Croydon and Sutton is a friendly branch in the heart of Croydon, very active in supporting the local community.
About our branch
Croydon Samaritans has been supporting the local community since 1962 through our listening services and outreach work. We are proud to be an inclusive and welcoming branch, bringing together around 90 volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, united by a shared commitment to compassionate listening and emotional support.
Alongside supporting callers, we foster a strong sense of community within our branch through teamwork, training, and mutual support, creating an environment built on empathy, respect, and connection.
Members of our branch also visit local schools, workplaces, and community groups to raise awareness of emotional wellbeing and the support Samaritans offers. We regularly attend community events across Croydon and are always keen to connect with local people and organisations.
