Joint Service of Thanksgiving to Celebrate Craigavon Samaritans 40th Anniversary

Wednesday 26th August 2015
2015 marks the celebration of 40 years of continuous service for the Craigavon branch of the Samaritans. For the past 40 years our volunteers have been recruited locally from all walks of life. These volunteers offer their time to form the backbone of an organisation dedicated to lending emotional support to people in distress and despair 24 hours a day. We are extremely proud of the work that we do and would like to celebrate the occasion of our 40th year of service.

As part of the 40th anniverary celebrations we will be hosting a Joint Service of Thanksgiving on Friday 11th September 2015 at the Church Of Ireland Cathedral in Armagh at 7.30pm.

Everyone is welcome to attend this thanksgiving service to help celebrate the great work the Craigavon branch has achieved within the last 40 years.   We would also like to reach out to all past volunteers who have contributed to the branch over the years.

Our Regional Director will say a few words on the night about how our branch was formed and explain about the work that we are involved in.  The Portadown Male Voice Choir will also be performing during the service.

A light supper will be served after the Service in the Synod Hall, so please dont rush away on the evening come and say hello.

Please make every effort to attend this special service and help us celebrate this very special milestone, 40 years of volunteering, being there for people in distress & dispair is something to be very proud of.
